  • Q: What is Point Place Casino, and how large will it be?
    Point Place Casino will be a local casino in Bridgeport, Madison County, on the border of Cicero. It will be in close proximity to Clay, Fulton, Liverpool and Syracuse. The casino will be approximately 65,000 sf and will have nearly 500 slot machines, 20 table games, and various amenities. It will employ approximately 200 people and will be roughly the same size and program as Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango.
  • Q: When will Point Place Casino be built, and when is it projected to open?
    Construction will begin in May 2017 with an opening slated for spring 2018.
  • Q: What amenities will Point Place Casino offer?
    Point Place Casino will offer two counter-service restaurants, including the newest location of Wicked Good Pizza, the fun pizza parlor that started at Yellow Brick Road Casino and recently opened at Turning Stone Resort Casino. Point Place Casino also will introduce a fun, family-friendly restaurant called Burgers of Madison County. In addition to these restaurants, Point Place Casino will host Opals, the delicious chocolatier and bakery that is so popular at Turning Stone. And, the casino will have two bars.
  • Q: How will the design of Point Place Casino blend with the surrounding community?
    The casino adopts its design from the many lake points that give the casino its name, Point Place Casino. As the renderings show, Point Place Casino’s architecture carries the same rustic, authentic feel of the beautiful surrounding community. It is designed to deliver to the people of Bridgeport, Cicero and its surrounding area a new destination for food and fun that preserves the warm and relaxing nature of the area.
  • Q: What will be the operating hours?
    The gaming floor will be open 24/7. The operating hours of the main restaurants (Burgers of Madison County and Wicked Good Pizza) will vary depending on the day of the week, but the kitchen usually will close around 10:00pm.
  • Q: How will Point Place Casino be different from Turning Stone Resort Casino? Will Point Place have a hotel? Nightclubs? Spas? Auditorium?
    While Turning Stone is a major destination resort, Point Place Casino is designed for our local casino audience in the same manner as Yellow Brick Road Casino. In that spirit, it will not have a hotel, nightclub, spa or auditorium.
  • Q: Can I earn and spend TS Rewards points at Point Place Casino?
    Yes. The same popular TS Rewards program in effect at Turning Stone Resort Casino and Yellow Brick Road Casino will be offered at Point Place Casino. This means that guests can earn TS Rewards Points from the slot and table play, and from the spending in the casino’s restaurants and lounges. Guests can redeem their TS Rewards points at the restaurants and lounges too.
  • Q: Will there be on-site security?
    Yes. In fact, there will be numerous layers of security to ensure public safety, starting with Point Place Casino’s on-site 24-7 Security Department. Point Place Casino will have its own on-site security manager who will be overseen by the experienced, skilled management team that also provides security at Turning Stone and Yellow Brick Road Casino. Furthermore, the federally-commissioned Oneida Nation Police Department and the Oneida Indian Gaming Commission will have on-site presence. The New York State Gaming Commission and New York State Police will have dedicated space available to them for their use. Security will be supported by state-of-the-art surveillance with a full-time on-site surveillance staff, and closed circuit loop to provide for supplemental live coverage from Turning Stone.
  • Q: Will children be allowed into the casino?
    No. Only individuals at least 18 years of age will be able to enter the casino floor. Children will be able to access the two restaurants, Burgers of Madison County and Wicked Good Pizza, for dine-in or carry-out via their own front entrances.
  • Q: Will smoking be permitted inside the casino?
    No. Point Place Casino will be 100% smoke free. An outdoor smoking patio will be available for our guests.
  • Q: Will the casino offer entertainment?
    Similar to Yellow Brick Road Casino, Point Place Casino will have individuals, duos and trios perform live music in one of the bars. Point Place Casino will offer a fun, casual atmosphere made special by a rustic theme throughout the property, consistent with the Village of Bridgeport’s mission in promoting and furthering the economic development of the village. The casino will not offer any adult entertainment (i.e. exotic dancers).
  • Q: How will Point Place impact traffic near our homes?
    All public vehicle traffic into Point Place Casino will enter from Route 31. The plans presently contemplate that access from Bridgeport-Kirkville Road to be limited to official (non-public) uses only, such as employee parking and emergency access.
  • Q: How will the parking areas and landscaping near our homes be maintained?
    Point Place Casino staff will uphold the same exacting standards that are in place at Turning Stone Resort Casino and Yellow Brick Road Casino. The casino will have its own, full-time staff, overseen by the same executive team that successfully maintains the cleanliness and other services standards at Turning Stone and Yellow Brick Road Casino.
  • Q: Will Point Place Casino make payments to the State of New York and the local counties?
    Yes. The casino is covered by the 2013 Settlement Agreement between the Oneida Indian Nation, State of New York, Madison County and Oneida County. Under the Settlement Agreement, the Oneida Indian Nation will pay the State an amount calculated as 25% of its revenue from slot machines it operates. The State, in turn, will remit a portion the Nation’s payment to the counties pursuant to the distribution formula negotiated in the Agreement. Since the Agreement went into effect in 2014, the Nation has paid with the State and counties more than $150 million.
  • Q: How many employees will work there? What sorts of jobs are available, and how can I apply for employment there?
    Point Place Casino will employ more than 200 people in a wide range of full-time and part-time positions, including chefs and cooks, gaming technicians, cage cashiers, security officers, facilities technicians, table games dealers, housekeeping, bartenders and beverage servers. Training will be provided for all positions and the casino will host schools for table games dealers. The casino will open a recruitment office in Cicero and will begin hiring in fall 2017.
